About FIRST IN Emergency Response Training LLC
Co-Owners Anne-Marie Jensen and Michele Richards possess over 40 years
combined fire and emergency services experience.
Anne-Marie Jensen has experience in both the private and public
sector working as a corporate trainer for Xerox Corporation and her
work for the Oakland Fire Department. During her long fire service
tenure she served as a Firefighter, Engineer, and Fire Academy
Instructor. Anne-Marie responded as a member of California Task
Force 4, one of FEMA’s Urban Search and Rescue Teams dispatched to
the Northridge Earthquake in California and also during the 9-11
disaster in New York City. After retiring, Anne-Marie used the
experience and education from her years in the fire service to
launch FIRST IN Emergency Response Training, LLC.
She holds numerous professional qualifications including:
- Master Instructor for Medic First Aid/ASHI
- American Heart Association BLS Instructor
- California Specialized Training Institute Hazardous

Michele Richards has nearly 25 years fire
service experience. She recently retired as a Fire Captain to join
Anne-Marie as Co-owner of FIRST IN Emergency Response Training LLC.
Michele has an extensive training background serving as a fire
service instructor for many years. During the last 3 years she has
worked part-time as an independent contractor serving several large
bay area corporations including Oracle, Boston Scientific and Nvidia
Corporations. She specializes in the development of emergency
response programs including training, documentation, hazard
assessment and crisis management. Michele holds numerous
professional qualifications including:
- Master Instructor for Medic First Aid/ASHI
- American Heart Association BLS Instructor
- Emergency Medical Technician
- California Specialized Training Institute Hazardous
